Le Labo de Frédo

Wow, for a place and a host. This is the place to sit, relax, enjoy and eat and drink well. I ll be back and recommend this place to everyone

We were welcomed & nourished at Le Labo de Frédo as though we were family. The food was delicious, the people cared about our allergies. We left replenished!

We had 2 pizzas at Fredo’s place and they were amazing! On top of that, the staff is lovely and very welcoming. It felt like at home with family. I would definitely recommend this place

Tijdens ons verblijf in Ampus passeerden we voorbij dit hippe restaurantje. Het was een feestdag en verder was alles gesloten, Fredo ontving ons voor een wijntje op zijn terras en vertelde over een bandje dat de volgende dag zou komen spelen, gecombineerd met het eten van mosselen met friet. We reserveerden ons plekje en hadden een super leuke avond. Het eten was heerlijk en het personeel is erg vriendelijk. We gingen vervolgens diezelfde week nog terug omdat we benieuwd waren naar de pizza’s want deze zagen er zo goed uit! We vielen laat op de avond binnen en werden met veel warmte ontvangen. We kregen een proevertje terwijl we wachtten op onze pizza. Super lekkere , grote en ambachtelijke pizza’s! Een echte aanrader en zeer betaalbaar! We love Fredo!

Appelé un peu à la dernière minute, tardivement (15h et quelques) et de plus un dimanche, par chance Frédo était dispo et a pu nous accueillir. C’était notre première fois (nous allions nous installer dans la région) et sûrement pas la dernière … Accueil chaleureux, excellentes pizzas , conversation sympa et bonnes suggestions diverses pour de nouveaux arrivants. Attention aux gourmand.e.s et aux affamé.e.s … si vous dites que vous avez faim, il ne faudra pas avoir les yeux plus gros que le ventre car Frédo et sa femme sont généreux. Heureusement, vous pourrez toujours emporter avec vous ce que vous ne pourriez pas finir. Dans tous les cas, cuisine (et punch) maison, locale et succulente. À recommander (et c’est pour ça que nous y sommes revenus après notre installation, en hiver ). Pour info, la livraison est aussi possible selon une distance raisonnable. À bientôt ! S. : Une suggestion, dont nous avons déjà parlé ensemble : plus de choix végétariens et végétaliens, même si l’on sait que vous êtes très arrangeant et pouvez adapter vos recettes.

This restaurant is just amazing. The ambient is lovely and welcoming and the food was delicious. The staff, Fredos wife and Fredo himself are very nice and lovely, very polite and create a nice atmosphere around you. We stayed some time longer after the dinner to have a small chat, which was both funny and delightful. I am looking forward to come back again.

We arrived at 13:45 and thought the place was closed. We said hello and the owner of the restaurant came out to us. He was very very pleasant and nice, he opened the oven just for us. And made us delicious pizzas!! While we were waiting for the pizzas he brought us out soup that is a local specialty for the Provance. We had a great experience and the food was wow. The host made an extra effort to speak to us in English and gave us recommendations for sites and attractions in the area. Highly recommend
